Suzuki Kizashi launched in Pakistan with a shocking price tag!

Pak Suzuki launched its high-end luxury sedan Kizashi in the beginning of 2015, marking its entry into the local luxury sedan market, currently dominated by Toyota and Honda. “Kizashi” is a Japanese word, which means, “something august imminent”.
Suzuki Kizashi: Specs and Features
This premium saloon car has been integrated with a 2.4-liter, four cylinder petrol engine with CVT transmission or six-speed manual transmission, ESP (Electronic Stability Program), Key-less entry, push to start, steering controls, parking sensors, Dual A/C, rain sensing vipers, dual zone automatic climate control, auto dimming rear view mirror, sport front seats, 8 SRS airbags, steering wheel shift paddles, power seats, leather upholstery, alloy wheels, Bluetooth, and Rockford Fosgate sound system.

Suzuki Kizashi: Interior and Exterior
The Kizashi’s exterior gives a fantastic look to the car, the alloy wheels and headlamps provides Kizashi a premium bold look. The Suzuki Kizashi interior has all the premium features including push-button start, dual zone climate control, 8 Airbags, an excellent Rockford Fosgate audio system and overall high quality material.
Suzuki Kizashi: Safety and Reliability
The Insurance Institute of Highway Safety (IIHS) gave Suzuki’s Kizashi the highest ratings in frontal offset, side-impact and rear crash protection. The Suzuki Kizashi comes with 8 airbags (driver, passengers, side head, rear head, side, rear body) and also with 4 wheel ABS/disc brakes, brake assist and electronic stability control.
Suzuki Kizashi: Price and the Pakistani Market
Suzuki launched Kizashi in Pakistan with the price tag of PKR 5 Million (Rs. 5,000,000 – 50 Lakhs), yes you read that right, if you’re fainting at the price tag and I don’t blame you, one thing is clear Kizashi is going to be the foremost lavish and most expensive car offered for sale by Suzuki Pakistan. In 2011, Suzuki Motor launched Kizashi in India, but it failed miserably because of its high price and was withdrawn from the market due to poor sales. The main reason of its high price is that it imported as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), which allure import duties of 105%. Suzuki was expected to generate good sale in the two largest markets of the world USA and China but the Kizashi failed to take off.
Suzuki vehicles are very popular in Pakistan due to their relative affordability and I must say Pak Suzuki took a great risk to launch such an expensive vehicle in the Pakistani market. However it’s good to take risks — if you manage them well. It is very early to say if this car makes a huge impact in the market with this price as the Pakistani market offers a number of options like Audi and Mercedes-Benz with a better reputation at this price point and resale value.
