Kiran Fine Jewellery collaborated with Misha Lakhani for PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2014
Coveted jewellery designer and entrepreneur Kiran Aman collaborated with fashion designer Misha Lakhani to create a bespoke collection of 9 intricate designs and 18 pieces which were shown during Misha Lakhani’s bridal ramp show ‘Nowruz’ on Day-3 of the PFDC L’Oreal Paris Bridal Week 2014.
The jewellery collection titled “Harmonia” after the Greek mythology immortal goddess of harmony and concord includes 21 carat beaten gold pieces with the ghungroo (bell) as the central motif in twos – signifying that only with the pairing of the bells can the sound and their purpose be fulfilled. The ghungroos through their existence have always been “we” and never “I”, a concept that fits perfectly to a bridal collection. Harmonia is inspired by fulfilling love and a sense of purpose that every relationship should experience.
Speaking of the jewellery collection, Kiran Aman said, “I am proud to collaborate with Misha Lakhani for this show. The collection will be available at her boutique from 21st October onwards. Misha is one of the most versatile designers and probably one of the finest stylists in Pakistan. Her pieces can be worn as separates and still exude the same confidence as when worn in an ensemble.”
Misha Lakhani’s bridal collection for PFDC L’Oréal Paris Bridal Week 2014 titled ‘Nowruz’ celebrated old fashion romance and the idea of paradise replete with blooming floral clusters, fireworks, birds and bugs. The collection was based in a diverse colour palette that includes monotone bases with a burst of colour on luxe velvet embellished with a variety of techniques such as applique, cutwork, floral threadwork, oxidized embroidery and beaten work. The elegant ensembles also featured pearls, clusters and jeweled birds.
Kiran Fine Jewellery’s flagship boutique is now open at Ocean Mall in Clifton [Karachi] located at Shop#210 on the Second Floor.
