Home Couture’s exhibition collection, ‘Celestial Gold,’ draws from mystical literature where this world is considered as a reflection of another perfect world, Eden or Paradise. It is then inspired by and pays a tribute to elements descriptive of that very celestial beauty. These elements include sacred geometry, the extensive use of natural imagery in hues of green and blue, coral and the ultimate colour of divinity: Gold. Indeed with this collection, Home Couture’s Creative Director Attiya Rashid seeks to bring in good energy and divine beauty to homes where this celestial inspiration intermingles with the finest craftsmanship in pieces hand carved and hand inlaid with the best materials nature has to offer.
MAHGUL’s Sping/Summer 2015 prêt-à-porter exhibition was in line with the brand’s commitment to seasonal fashion exhibitions and trunk shows. With this new collection, the brand’s Creative Director Mahgul Rashid interpreted spring and summer wear through an array of bright and pastel hues with custom designed embroideries that journey in their inspiration from the more Oriental influences to European, across both casual and semi-formal wear. For this exhibition, Creative Director Mahgul Rashid also worked on limited edition prints, ranging from the more structured geometrical aesthetic to the more whimsical.
