Avari Towers & Hotels hosted its first show, Avari Fashion Saturday, in its newly renovated lobby. The spaciously done, tiled lobby exudes contemporary class and yet maintains that vintage elegance. The lobby functioned as the ramp as well as the magnificent backdrop for the fashion parade featuring fusion prêt wear from NH Prêt by Nadia Hussain, smart denims and casuals Autumn/Winter 2014-2015 range from Fifth Avenue by Amir Anees and embellished evening wear from Silver Livings by Minhal Aly.

Avari Hotels and Towers share a strong bond with fashion. Avari Hotels and Towers holds strong pride in hosting shows by many industry mavericks. It has hosted legends of Pakistani fashion in its past, with this show Avari revived the lobby culture and brought this luxurious state-of-the-art lobby, Asia Live restaurant and Cinnamon Café to more dynamic use by putting up Pakistan’s first ever hotel lobby show, titled, Avari Fashion Saturday, a regular feature to Avari’s recreational scene.

Nadia Hussain’s NH Prêt Collection after doing rounds on morning shows and various other tele-portals did its runway debut at Avari Fashion Saturday. Hussain’s array into designing is surely not something that is surprising. Having been the darling of the fashion industry for the past 15 years, she has truly seen fashion evolving into what it is today! And thus it is her keen sense of style, elegance n glamour that she brings forth with her collection! Hussain’s collection is focused on cuts and features some of the most glamourous colours for the upcoming celebratory season. The ensembles are minimalistic in nature and are sans heavy embroideries with major focus on finish and edgy cuts!

Next up at Avari Fashion Saturday, DYHT – Do You Have Time, an NGO (non-governmental organization) based in Karachi, Pakistan, comprising of professionals (Doctors, Social Workers, Media Associates, Journalists, Celebrities and Educationists) as well as grass-root workers, presented an entourage of celebrities and friends of DYHT walking to show their support for the organization. The participants for this social-walk comprised of Aijazz Aslam, Yasir Mazhar, Nazia Malik, Mathira Mohammed, Faisal Naqvi, Sadia Nawabi, and Haya Sehgal amongst others.

DYHT – Do You Have Time At Avari Fashion Saturday

DYHT, which began in August 2008, started working for flood victims of Pakistan. From then on it has been providing aids, charity and fun-filled events to orphanages, old homes and street schools.
